The class will cover technique, terminology and the jazz style of Joel Hall. Students will learn jazz steps, turns, movement, while increasing strength and flexibility.
Student’s dance vocabulary will increase along with the pace of the class. Students will learn jazz choreography, turns, leaps, while increasing technique, strength, flexibility.
Intermediate-level Jazz (Floor Barre):
Consists of 90 minutes of core strengthening, floor stretches, standing center barre, isolations, progressions, and placement. 45 minutes of which explores the execution of combinations and choreographies. This class in focused in the Joel Hall Jazz Dance Technique, “Urban Jazz”.
Jazz II (Jazz Dance Method):
A great workout! 45 minutes of floor barre stretch class, strengthening and stretching on the floor, followed by a combination and or progressions of steps put together for choreography across the floor.
