DON’T MISS THIS THRILLING SHOW!!  Hailed as “sleek … sophisticated … & sexy!”

“Anja” is drawing standing ovations from appreciative audiences, dazzled by the on-stage artistry.

DSC_2913-7x3-Experience the graceful, inexhaustible eye of the unexpected — as live music & dance become one in a seamless performance — awakening the audience visually, aurally… & ultimately, spiritually.

In celebration of his dance company’s 40th anniversary, renowned choreographer Joel Hall presents the Joel Hall Dancers in “Anja: The Unexpected” … a world premiere collaboration with Chicago jazz music legends: Charles Heath (Percussion) Ray Silkman (Saxophonist), as well as Chicago’s up & coming Jazz Vocalist Jesse Charbonier.

SameLoveBorderGirardIn this full-length concert piece, each musician performs his work live alongside original choreography — creating imagery of every movement, phrase, and note. As a finale, the artists will open up a “jam session” — inviting the audience to find the unexpected dancer & musician in each of their souls.

In a unforgettable moment — legendary American dance icon, Joel Hall himself performs “live” on stage to open each show!

JoelPtahGirardPerformances of “Anja” benefit the ongoing mission of Joel Hall Dancers & Center — a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization headquartered in Chicago, Illinois — which relies on generous community support to fund it’s programming & performances.
