On Saturday, February 24, the Joel Hall Dancers bring their educational program The Roots of Black Dance in America to the Art Center Highland Park. This program, which tours throughout the school year with Chicago’s Urban Gateways, spotlights the often-overlooked contributions of Black artists to American culture. Members of the Joel Hall Dancers illustrate the steps and share the history that African and African American dance techniques have on dance in the United States - and teach students how to dance with new awareness.
Join thus for this family-friendly event at The Art Center Highland Park at 1 PM! Tickets are free and can be reserved here.
