Tami Whatcott is from Fillmore, Utah. She graduated from Utah Valley University with a BFA in Modern Dance and a BS in Dance Education. She traveled to Spain in May of 2011 with Contemporary Dance Ensemble where she was able to perform and teach at the Royal Conservatorio De Danza De Cordoba and Conservatorio Superior De Danza De Madrid.
Tami lived and worked in China for a month in summer 2011. She taught at Southwest Jiao Jong University, Guangxi University, and at a sports conference in Tian Jin. Her work consisted of certifying dance and cheer coaches, working with different teams across the country, and helping implement a dance and cheer program for the Chinese Cheerleading Association.
Tami has judged ONP Nationales in Mexico in 2011 and 2013 and judged, performed, and taught in Ecuador in 2012. Tami has had the wonderful opportunity to be a rehearsal director for popular events such as: The Houston Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2010 and The London New Years Day Parade in January 2014.
She has been a member of Synergy Dance Company, Contemporary Dance Ensemble, UVU Ballroom Tour Team, danced and coached professionally for the Utah Flash and is currently dancing and teaching at Joel Hall.
She has been an instructor for Universal Dance Association for the past 8 years where she has had the opportunity to travel nation and international wide to teach, perform, choreograph and judge in many genres from high school to college levels. Tami has worked and judged at the National Dance Team Championship, Cheer Championship, College Dance Nationals, Worlds, and ICU in Orlando Florida televised on ESPN and ESPN2.
She has been trained in ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and Ballroom and has done choreography for The Utah Jazz Dancers, Utah Flash Dancers, Synergy Modern Dance Company, and numerous different studio’s and award winning high schools across the western United States.
